Clinton F. Merrow Jr. ’41

Clinton F. Merrow Jr. ’41 died April 21, 2014, in Albuquerque, N.M. He was born on September 19, 1918, in Houlton, and he prepared for college at Deering High School and Hebron Academy. He was a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity. He served to lieutenant colonel in the Army in the European Theater of Operations during World War II and served for more than twenty years in the Army Reserve. He retired from the New York State civil service. He was an avid golfer and played at courses across the country, and he was a longtime member of the Antlers Country Club. He is survived by daughters Sandra Breen and Sharon Schwartzman, sons Scott and Seth Merrow, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased in 1983 by his wife of about forty years.
